Founded in 1920 as a 'garden city' on the English model, Garbatella today is a one-of-a-kind Roman district. Inner courtyards, working-class blocks, hidden staircases, quiet alleys and a neighborhood identity that resists mass tourism. Living Garbatella means eating where Romans eat, having an aperitivo in piazza Brin, discovering the Palazzo cinema, photographing views that look like a Pasolini film set.
Garbatella metro (line B) is 500 metres from the B&B. In 10 minutes you're at the Colosseum, 15 at Termini, 20 at Trastevere station. Roma Ostiense station, only minutes away, takes you to Fiumicino by train or to Ostia beach in 25 minutes.
